In honor of their one year anniversary this week, we want to celebrate by looking back on Mina and Alex’s beautiful wedding last April. It was a picturesque spring day in Atlanta – perfect for celebrating their marriage, and we were honored to be a part of it!
Mina and her bridesmaids had lunch while getting ready in an amazing Penthouse suite at The Georgian Terrace in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.
Mina’s selection of bright and vibrant colors for the wedding shone through in the stunning bouquets that featured Cherry Brandy roses, tiny hot pink Lovely Lydia roses, and pale green hydrangea.
Alex and Mina were surrounded by the love of their family and friends throughout the day. We loved the energy of the entire bridal party, who made sure to keep the party going from the getting ready moments all the way through the end of the reception.
The couple chose two architecturally beautiful venues for their wedding day. Starting with a ceremony at Millennium Gate, Mina and Alex then invited their guests to join them for a cocktail hour and reception at The Georgian Terrace. The two locations provided opportunities for some great photographs. We love when couples choose locations that show how beautiful Atlanta is!
Mina included touches of her Persian heritage with a traditional sofreh display at the reception. The items on a sofreh typically represent different elements of the couples’ lives coming together. A sofreh usually includes items like a mirror, candles, herbs and spices, nuts such as almonds, hazelnuts, or walnuts, seasonal fruits, sweets, coins, and honey. A sofreh is personalized for each couple.
The couple selected a plated dinner for their reception at The Georgian Terrace. Following the cocktail hour, guests entered the ballroom to find exquisitely decorated tables with centerpieces from Holland Daze and candelabras and votives from Miss Milly’s Antique Rentals. We always love the service and attention to detail given by the staff at The Georgian Terrace.
Once dinner was complete, the party could truly begin! Thanks to DJ Joel Rabe from Lethal Rhythms, the dance floor was full all night long. During the garter toss, we were all treated to a special performance of the worm by the groom himself!
We loved being a part of Mina and Alex’s special day and wish them a very happy first anniversary!
