Creative Guest Books

With spring wedding season upon us, we can’t wait to share some of our favorite creative guest book ideas. Long gone are the times when there was only one route to take with guest books and when they all consisted of a notebook for people to sign their names. More and more frequently, we are seeing couples have extremely personal guestbooks. From signing a surfboard, to vintage records, to photo booth pictures, we’ve seen it all! We want to share with you some of our favorites in the hope that you are able to find the perfect guest book for your wedding.

1. Thumbprint Art

Have your guests leave their thumb prints with their names written underneath for your guest book. You can have a predetermined shape, such as a bundle of balloons or a tree, or you can let the guests have free reign to put their prints anywhere on the paper. You’ll be able to frame this to last for many years to come.

Engravable photo mats allow wedding guests to sign the mat around the frame so that you’ll be able to remember who was at your wedding for years to come. Since the mats are metal, they come with an engraving pen so that the names do not smear or smudge. We love the sleek look of an engravable photo mat with a nice frame that features a picture from your wedding.

If an engravable photo mat is not what you had in mind, consider a regular photomat where people can sign with regular pens. This is still something you can display in your home long after the actual wedding.

3. Wine Cork Collection

Do you collect wine corks? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to put those to use. If you don’t already have a collection, you can buy corks from your local craft store. 4. Polaroid/Photo Booth Album

For an easy option with great looking results, perhaps a Polaroid album is the right option for your wedding. Simply purchase an album with enough pages and provide a Polaroid camera or two for your wedding guests to take “selfies.” Be sure to include glue sticks or double-sided tape for guests to paste them into the album and some pens for them to write a message and sign their names nearby.

You could easily do the same type of album with photo booth pictures. Be sure to let the company know that you’d like them to print two copies of the photo strips, that way guests can keep one and use one to go into the photo album. Sometimes the album is included with photo booth packages, so be sure to ask your company about their offers.

5. Favorite Book

We love when couples incorporate elements into their wedding that personalize their wedding day. If you love to read, we’ve seen the perfect option for you! Purchase some of your favorite books in beautiful bindings to use as the perfect table numbers. After your guests find their tables, they can open the book and sign in the margins. Be sure you leave a little note explaining the process and some pens nearby for the guests to use.  

Ultimately, your guest book can be as creative as you’d like it to be! Try to focus on things that are important to both the bride and groom and incorporate those into how you’ll be reminded of your wedding guests. We welcome any comments with other ideas and suggestions!
